Our two Nurse Practitioners have 16
years combined experience in
managing clients in Detox Programs. The
idea of an In-home Detox and Recovery
Care Program
combined with care by specially trained
Certified Nurses Aides is a new concept.
In addition to the person being able to
go through Detox at home the Certified
Nurses Aide can also help with meal
preparation, laundry, and other light
housekeeping tasks.
Services will focus on polysubstance withdrawal and include alcohol, opiates, and benzodiazepines/sedatives. Treatment will include 24-hour care during the three to five days of physical withdrawal as well as an extensive individualized recovery program. Prior to treatment patients will undergo an intake exam and meet with a counselor to develop a customized plan for recovery. The nurse practitioners can prescribe medications and will work closely with pharmacist Mike Douglas of Mike’s Medical Pharmacy in Newberg. The patient must agree to go through individual or group counseling as part of the recovery plan.
